TYRE PRESSURE

MTB tyre pressure in PSI and bar

Useful pressure depends on ready-to-ride weight, tyre volume and casing, rim, terrain, riding style and any insert.
01

Choose a safe baseline

Stay within tyre and rim manufacturer limits. Use the same gauge and record front and rear separately.

02

PSI and bar

One bar is approximately 14.5 PSI. Avoid inconsistent rounding when comparing small changes.

03

Tyre inserts

Inserts can change support and protection but do not replace manufacturer pressure limits. Record the insert used in each wheel.
